Marshall continued its strong run in Capitol-South volleyball with a home sweep of Wisconsin Heights on Oct. 6. The Cardinals had previously beaten Belleville on Sept. 22 and New Glarus the following Tuesday, both in four sets.

Senior setter Ava Neuberger led Marshall against Wisconsin Heights with 28 assists and four aces. Summer Hellenbrand had 13 kills and nine digs, Kaylee Gors added six kills, and Carly Checky led the team with 12 digs.

The three-match winning streak brought Marshall to 16-9 overall and 6-2 in conference play, third behind Cambridge and Waterloo, which were tied at 7-1 as of Oct. 6.

Marshall was set to compete at Brookfield East on Oct. 10 before returning to league play. Its earlier meeting with Cambridge had ended in a five-set defeat after the Cardinals won the first two sets.
