DeForest alum Blake Lovick was named a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American for the 2025–26 high school season.

A DeForest Norski found his name on the list.

2026 DAHS graduate Blake Lovick was one of 119 senior student-athletes and 76 boys to receive national All-American Scholar honors. Per the release, Lovick had a GPA of 3.74. Lovick was one of two student-athletes from Wisconsin to receive such honors, earning the nod alongside Arrowhead’s Amara Leppla.

DeForest midfielder Blake Lovick (Class of 2026) was named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American.

According to United Soccer Coaches, the student-athletes were honored based on their cumulative achievement in the classroom and on the soccer field during their secondary school careers.

Soccer achievements

Naturally, Lovick experienced plenty of success on the field during his time at DeForest.

The previous season, he was named the Badger-Large Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. He scored 18 goals and dished nine assists, according to MaxPreps. In addition, the midfielder was also named First Team Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association (WSCA) All-State.

Last Fall, Lovick led DeForest to an 18-2-4 overall record, including a 7-0 mark in the Badger-Large Conference. DeForest’s 2025 season ended in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division 2 state championship game.

Of note, Lovick is a two-time WIAA State tournament qualifier after DeForest advanced to the WIAA state semifinals in 2024.

Lovick will continue his soccer career at NCAA Division III UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks begin their season on Friday, Sept. 4 at Monmouth. Their first home game will be against Marian on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Robert Fiskum Field.
