Members of the DeForest boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams were well-represented on the all-conference list.

This season, the boys finished their 2026 campaign with a 5-14 overall record, including a 1-8 mark in the new-look Badger Conference. After a promising 3-1 start to its spring campaign, the Norskies suffered a 10-game losing streak to end the regular season.

However, the Norskies closed the season on a high note, scoring an 11-1 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) state tournament victory over No. 20 seed Wausau West in its regional opener, before concluding its season in the regional semifinals, losing to No. 4 seed Hudson by a final score of 17-8. This weekend, Hudson will be competing for a state title.

Meanwhile, the girls’ team had plenty of new faces this spring, tasked with replacing nine seniors from last year’s team, per MaxPreps.

With only two seniors on this year’s roster, the Norskies finished their spring campaign with a 1-12 overall record, including a 0-7 mark in the Badger Conference. The Norskies concluded their season in their regional opener, nearly knocking off No. 16-seed Sun Prairie East before falling 2-1.

With both seasons wrapped up and in the books, postseason accolades followed as the boys’ team saw four athletes on the all-conference list, while the girls’ team had two athletes receive such recognition.

Bryson Callaway: second-team All-Conference, second-team All-State

Callaway, the junior long-stick midfielder, was a force to be reckoned with defensively. In the regular season, Callaway forced/caused 66 turnovers, the third-highest total in the entire state, per Wisconsin Lacrosse hub.

DeForest junior Bryson Callaway received second-team All-Conference and second-team and Wisconsin High School Lacrosse Coaches Association second-team All-State honors this spring.

Jacobs, a sophomore defender and long-stick midfielder, picked up 78 ground balls this season, while also forcing 32 turnovers. In DeForest’s last four games, he picked up an average of 6.8 ground balls per game, per Wisconsin Lacrosse Hub.

Michael Zulkoski: honorable mention All-Conference

During DeForest’s loss to Muskego earlier this season, Zulkoski had 20 face-off wins and just five losses. He also picked up 51 ground balls this season.

Brenly Schoenemann: honorable mention All-Conference
